It is probably below 30 PSI which is below the specification for the ventilator.Why does my ventilator stop cycling when I increase my flow?This is caused by a restriction of some kind in the gas supply to the ventilator. Be sure you are not using a flow regulator to regulate your supply gas. These are too restrictive. They are unable to maintain the necessary pressure with the higher flows. Check for any fittings you may be using before the ventilator that may be restrictive.
Remember, 50 PSI at the wall or cylinder doesn't always mean 50 PSI at the ventilator.Do I need a Service Requisition Form to send a unit in for service?Yes.How close to the MRI unit can I put the IC-2A?First and foremost, the IC-2A must be compatible with a MRI environment. Click for more information on the Crossvent's battery.Which pneumotach should I buy for my monochrome Crossvent?We offer several pneumotachs, catalog numbers 4407, 4408, and 4409 (CV2 & CV2i only). They are not interchangeable. The 4407 is distinguished by female luer fittings on the ends of its tubes while the 4408 has male luer fittings on the ends of its tubes.
The 4409 has no fittings on the end of its tubes. Check the side of your CV4 to see which fittings you have that will mate with those on the pneumotach. These fittings dictate the matching pneumotach. If your proximal and distal fittings are on the ventilator, then order the 4407. If, then order the 4408. If the fittings are, order the 4409.How should I set the Pressure Cycle function on my CV4?Pressure Cycle is no longer a separate function set by the user. The software has changed to incorporate it into the peak pressure high alarm limit.
It is recommended that if you still have this function in your Crossvent, you send it to to be updated with the latest software enhancements.Why does the blender on my Crossvent leak gas out the bottom?The blender only exhibits this bleed when the knob on the side of the blender is set to 15 LPM and no bleed will be necessary. To do this with the Crossvent, unplug the external power supply, turn the unit on and put it in TEST mode. Press 'VALVES' and turn each valve ON. Leave the unit this way until the display is blank. Turn the Crossvent off, wait at least one minute, then plug the external power supply back in.
